The Azienda Agricola Novelli is a family business which is located in Novellara, in the province of Reggio Emilia, in the heart of the lands where Parmigiano Reggiano is produced.
From farm to fork, the Azienda Agricola Novelli handles all the stages of the milk agro-food supply chain and offers healthy and wholesome products, first and foremost Parmigiano Reggiano, the King of cheeses, famous throughout the world.
The Novelli family has kept alive over time the art and tradition of Parmigiano-Reggiano produced from the milk of the "Vacche Rosse", a cattle breed typical of this area, which over time came close to extinction, but which, fortunately, has been recovered.
The farm’s history began as far back as 1800, at a time when the farmers were not owners of the land that they grew, and their work was devoted to the subsistence of the often large family and to the trade of products at the market; Antonio Novelli, born in 1928, thus handed down to his sons an age-old productive tradition.
In 1960, Antonio Novelli purchased a plot of land near Novellara and built, with his brother Andrea, the farm which is now run by his sons Maurizio and Manuel and his nephew Marcello; in time, the farm has expanded through the purchase of new land, the construction of new stables, the increase and differentiation in the production of Parmigiano Reggiano.
Manuel Novelli, Antonio's son, inherited the resourcefulness of his father in the management of the production and sales, and wants to make the family farm even more modern, including through new systems of distribution.
